Having fun supporting literacy, horses and children in Tucson

I love when I can support a group and multitask at the same time:  giving back to the community, promoting literacy and sharing my passion for horses!

The Black Stallion Literacy Foundation inspires children to read and succeed by reading classic books by Walter Farley about the wonderful realtionship between a boy and his horses and then giving them hands-on learning experiences with live horses.  Supported by volunteers across the country, this event entertained 5,300 fourth graders with the Arabian Nights from Florida.  My annual trailride raises money for the BSLF, and this year we raised enough to support one class of 30!  Check them out:  www.bslf-online.org
